Hi I’m David Lethbridge, The Founder’s Mentor

I started building businesses at the beginning of the consumer internet. I saw how new technology allowed founders to out-think and out-move established players — not by working harder, but by adopting earlier and thinking differently.

Through building my own companies and mentoring founders, another pattern became clear: founders rarely struggle because they lack ambition or intelligence. They struggle when clarity disappears under pressure — when decisions pile up faster than thinking.

I’m now seeing these two patterns converge again with AI.

AI dramatically increases what a small team — or a single founder — can achieve. But without clarity, it simply accelerates the wrong decisions. Used well, it becomes a powerful multiplier.

My mission

My goal is to help more founders by making the benefits of mentoring far more accessible.

FounderMentor.ai was created to make my mentoring available:

  • online and 24/7

  • in multiple languages

  • at a fraction of the cost of traditional one-to-one mentoring

Most founders don’t need ongoing programmes or long-term contracts. They need clarity at the moment decisions are being made.

That’s what FounderMentor.ai is designed to provide.

When a human conversation matters

There are times when a deeper, human conversation helps — particularly at critical moments such as funding, exits, burnout, or major transitions.

For those moments, private one-to-one sessions are available. They are intentionally limited, optional, and never tied to long-term commitments.

FounderMentor.ai is designed to complement human mentoring — not replace it — giving founders clarity when they need it most, and human support when it truly matters.

David Lethbridge is a founder, former CEO, and mentor.
